Appeal from Palaweños

05:04 AM November 06, 2017

When citizens cannot be heard in the proper channels of government, we turn to the media. When we are afraid of speaking to our government officials, we turn to the media. God bless them.

This is the case with the construction of the roads budgeted by the hard-earned money of taxpayers. Specifically, the roads under construction in Brooke’s Point & Circumferential Road Project up to Barangay Culandanum in Rizal to Quezon, Palawan.

We believe the kind of work being undertaken will lead to substandard roads that will negatively affect the safety, security and financial wellbeing of my fellow Palaweños. We want high-quality construction for which we pay good hard-earned money.

We hope that people in government like Public Works Secretary Mark Villar will act on our concern.
