You’ve lost your moral compass!” This was the pompous declaration after a long peroration of Sen. Dick Gordon, referring to John Paul Solano, the “Good Samaritan” turned suspect in the fatal hazing of UST law student Horacio “Atio” Castillo III, at the Senate hearing.
I almost had a gag reflex!
This is the same guy who practically acted as the lawyer of presidential son-in-law Mans Carpio and presidential son Paolo “Pulong” Duterte at the Senate hearing on the P6-billion shabu smuggling at the Bureau of Customs. There, Senator Gordon was very gentle in asking his leading questions while being so protective of the two personalities against some hard questioning from Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV.
Like the cases we see today of mostly defenseless poor people killed in the war against drugs while big-time Chinese syndicates and operators just go about their merry ways, Senator Gordon only throws his weight against powerless people like Solano.
You, sir, are the one who has lost your moral compass!
