Who’s to blame for Kian’s death?

Are Filipinos this helpless?

Given the people’s “shock” and outrage over the death of Kian Loyd delos Santos at the hands of police—plus media’s interest and persistent news coverage—now is the best time to effect needed transformations in our society, particularly on the brutal approach of President Duterte in solving the drug menace.

Digong listens to the people. But here’s the crux: For as long as he can ride on his high approval rating according to “scientific” political surveys conducted by “nonprofit” poll organizations, Digong will be as steadfast as ever to stay the same. And thus no change in the country that is genuine, good, desirable, peaceable and lasting will materialize.

So where now lies the blame: In ourselves or in “surveys?”
