What communist rebels fear most

The CPP/NPA/NDF is at it again, spinning unbelievable yarns designed to drive a division among the US government, President Duterte and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

The communist extortionists claim, without naming any sources, that there is an alleged collaboration of the Central Intelligence Agency and the military to kill communist leader Jose Ma. Sison and subsequently overthrow President Duterte.

I think nobody in his right mind would believe the NDF’s fantastic tale, as the majority of Filipinos have been fed up with the deception and lies being spread by these communist extortionists to achieve their evil objectives.

At current conditions, with President Duterte still enjoying a trust rating of more than 80 percent and has achieved the support of the rank and file military officers, it would be foolhardy for the CIA even to tinker with the idea of collaborating with the AFP to kill Sison and eventually oust
Mr. Duterte. Sison is old, sick and reportedly dying. There is no need to assassinate him.

The US and Australian governments have offered the AFP spy planes to conduct surveillance for the local troops engaged in battle against the Abu Sayyaf-Maute group in Marawi City.

The CPP/NPA/NDF fears that those spy planes from the United States and Australia can also be borrowed and used by the AFP to track down movements and put an end to the insurgency
being waged by the communists.

President Duterte has scrapped the peace talks with the Left and vowed to focus his attention on them once the Marawi siege is over.

And that is what leftist guerrillas fear most. The President may ask for the United States and Australia’s assistance for use of spy planes to track and pin them down, in all areas where they operate.
