Bicolanos for Leni

We would like to express the existence of a very real fear if former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. wins his election protest against Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo.

No doubt he will seek the presidency in the next election, with perhaps a chance of winning. There will be that “nightmarish” possibility of a repeat of the 20-year rule under his father, Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

The power and force which were then wielded by the Marcos family will once again threaten our nation.

Bicolanos—Sorsoganons in particular—believe that Robredo did not cheat. If that is proven otherwise by the decision of the Presidential Electoral Tribunal, the sole arbiter of protests on the election of president and vice president, we will not be surprised if public sentiment concludes that influence, money and fraud are still prevalent in our system.
