Open letter to President Duterte

Being President of our country must be really burdensome and stressful for you. One year has passed and your hair got markedly thinner. You were recently quoted as saying, “Wala namang kalbo sa pamilya namin pero I began to lose my hair at the back. Ang laki na ng patch.”

Mr. President, if you would allow me, may I offer a solution to your hair loss problem, and it’s absolutely free.

But far more than that hair thing, if you could graciously spare just an hour of your precious time to be with an ordinary citizen like me, I would like to propose solutions to some of the major problems that beset our country, also at no cost.

I am not applying for a job in government because I am settled and fulfilled with what  God has purposely made me—a businessman, writer/author and preacher of God’s Word and disciple maker.

Mr. President, let me be candid and honest in saying this: Rodrigo Roa Duterte is both good and bad as a leader of the Filipino people. You are definitely better than the previous Philippine presidents in the matter of decisive action and possessing political will.

Hence I wish you well.

Though I wish as well and pray that you would have the forbearance and humility to admit or realize what needs improvement and transformation in the ways the country is being governed
today—for genuine peace and progress, and the betterment of the entire Filipino nation.

Hope you will get to read this open letter, words and heart; and that my noble intentions would somehow merit your kind consideration and understanding.

Thank you and may God bless the Philippines under your leadership.
