Martial law imperative to wipe out terrorists from Mindanao

/ 12:10 AM June 02, 2017

I fully agree with many of my peace-loving and God-fearing Muslim brothers who are in favor of President Duterte’s decision to impose martial law in Mindanao. There is a need to use iron hand to wipe out Islamic State-inspired, terrorist groups like the Abu Sayyaf and Maute who kill and behead Muslims, Christians and just anyone opposed to their radical religious views.

These terrorists engage in inhuman and un-Islam acts. They have no place in human society. They would only impede development and progress because of their violent ways.

It is possible that the Maute Group or some other terrorist group would replicate elsewhere, or in different parts of Mindanao, what it recently did in Marawi City—sowing terror and killing people to gain recognition from IS.

These local terrorist groups should be stopped by any means, so that they would no longer be able to spread the “virus” of terrorism among their fellow Muslims and other religious groups in Mindanao.
