No alternative facts in science

I’m grateful to the Inquirer for publishing the excellent opinion piece “Why scientists are marching” (World View, 4/20/17). I agree completely with the scientists. Not because I am from a family of researchers and military scientists but because I see the logic of 1 + 1 = 2; there can be no space  for any “alternative facts.”

A proof is a proof. Without scientific research there will still be polio and smallpox today, killing children. Please think about it. Earth is not flat and vaccination doesn’t cause autism; that’s conspiracy theorist nonsense.

Let’s defend logic and scientific facts with passion, for the sake of the future generations.
