Boholanos credited for helping foil terrorist attack

/ 12:10 AM May 10, 2017

From media reports, a female police officer, claiming she was on a tour in Clarin, Bohol, where government forces had earlier killed four Abu Sayyaf bandits, was arrested together with her companion, an Abu Sayyaf member. Police Director General Ronald dela Rosa said, “Supt. Ma. Cristina Nobleza admitted that she and her driver, Abu Sayyaf member Renierlo Dongon, who turned out to be her lover, were trying to help or rescue one of the bandits left on the island.”

First, I would like to commend the security forces for a job well done; second, the Boholanos, together with their local government units, for their help and cooperation in foiling the Abu Sayyaf intrusion into their province. What the Boholanos did to protect their beloved province and themselves is worth emulating by peace-loving citizens all over our country.

The Boholanos have shown that we can always unite to protect our community against terrorists, which we must to achieve progress and lasting peace. Likewise, I am positive that the Philippine National Police will exert all efforts to rid its ranks of unscrupulous members.
