A fascinating read

May I thank the Inquirer for featuring the New York Times article “Becoming Duterte: The making of a strongman” (Front Page, 3/25/17) which has, naturally, brought his minions’ opprobrium on the paper. It will be interesting to see how Martin Andanar et al., will rush to their boss’ defense.

It was fascinating to read what President Duterte’s siblings said so openly to the Times reporter; they obviously don’t think too highly of their brother who is making a hash of his nation.

Thanks again to the Inquirer for upholding free press in the midst of all the propaganda we’ve been deluged with from our strongman’s PR machine.
