Swift action for Makati’s poorest families
The plight of destitute families dwelling underneath the Magallanes interchange center island of Skyway and the Don Bosco exit should catch the attention of the officials of the city government of Makati, particularly of the Makati Social Welfare Department.
These poor families are even starting to put up small makeshift huts along the fringes of the Philippine National Railways tracks, risking their and their children’s lives and limbs to passing trains and vehicles on the expressway.
Let’s start giving them a better life by relocating them elsewhere or sending them back to their respective provinces with enough cash or livelihood to start with.
Swift action and not dilly-dallying is the key to solving immediately the plight of these poorest of the poor families in this part of Makati.
