Even if found guilty, GMA still won’t land in prison

I believe that the more cases filed against former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, the bigger her chance of evading accountability.

It will take years before they finally get to be filed in court and it will take many, many more years for the courts to render the decisions on these cases. Besides, GMA will hire the best lawyers, who can then delay and prolong the court processes. She can afford them, after all she is very, very rich. And let’s not forget she also got the best doctors in our country—yes, she is that very, very rich. Then after the courts arrive at a decision, she can elevate each case to the Supreme Court, which will take more years to render a final verdict. Let’s say the fastest it will take for each of these cases to reach final judgment is 10 years. GMA, who is 64 years old now, will be 74 by then.

The power and influence GMA and her family once had may be on the wane, but with all her wealth she will not allow just any institution to put her in jail. That’s why the Arroyos are getting the best lawyers and doctors in town.

Yes, it will take all ages to bring the cases against GMA to a final resolution.

All those in government say they know our system is all shot, but I think they also take advantage of everything that’s wrong with the system for their own personal benefits.

My point is, GMA will not go to jail. Wanna bet? Yes, it’s rather very sad, but the reality is, if you are poor, it’s very easy to put you in jail. Poor Juan de la Cruz!
