I AM Neal Cruz?s ardent fan because of his animal rights advocacy. And I couldn?t help but cry when I read his April 18 column (?Tambucho-killing: very cruel way to kill dogs?). This evil and barbaric method is also used here in our province of Camiguin to get rid of stray animals.

I think the Committee on Animal Welfare is a misnomer. People of this supposed-to-be animal defender are in fact killing innocent animals. Shouldn?t its officials be prosecuted to the full extent of the law under the provision of the Animal Welfare Act?

I am glad and grateful that Cruz has done something to end animal suffering.
