The action taken by Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile on the case of ?vanishing? cell phone loads is very much in order. Perhaps, if the senator had not blown his top in public over the issue, the telcos would still be robbing cell phone users blind.
And there should be a rule, regulation or law prohibiting telcos from sending unsolicited messages to subscribers. This practice victimizes especially those residing in far-flung areas where the cell phone is the fastest way of reaching out to and communicating with people.
The telcos are already earning enormous profits. Why do they still engage in this unfair practice?
