REP. Pablo Garcia?s comparison of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to Jesus Christ during the hearing on the impeachment complaint in the House of Representatives was tasteless, to say the least. I wonder how the Church is going to react to Garcia?s statement. If it were made against the Muslim community, I wonder what would have happened to Garcia.

Representative Garcia insulted Christianity. He is the kind of person who should be denied communion and, perhaps, should even be excommunicated. Jose Rizal was excommunicated just because of a statement he made against a priest. Garcia used Christianity to justify the sins of GMA. What kind of desperate thinking could he get into! And to think that some of those who were with him when he made the statement just laughed it off.
