MANILA, Philippines – Neal H. Cruz, in his Oct. 10 column, wrote, “Telcos should share their immense profits” and that “Telcos in other countries don’t charge for text messaging, but Philippine telcos charge P1 for each text message even if the message is only ‘OK.’” That is not true.
I’ve lived in different countries and text messages are not free. In the Philippines text messages are cheaper than in other countries.
