Jaycee dares Giuliani fans

Philippine Daily Inquirer
First Posted 02:26:00 08/14/2008

Filed Under: Relief & Aid Organisations

The article on the Rudy Giuliani speech (Philippine Daily Inquirer, 7/30/08) suggested that there were at least 500 generous leaders who were in Makati Shangri-La Hotel to listen to the former mayor of New York City. If a leader can spend P22,000 just to listen to a speech on leadership, he/she should now practice leadership by example.

The followers of Giuliani would be exemplary leaders if they would contribute—directly or through the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC)—P22,000 each to the victims of Typhoon “Frank.” Could we get a list of those exemplary leaders who were present during the leadership seminar, so we could send them solicitation letters in behalf of the PNRC?

The check for P22,000 should be made payable to PNRC—P22,000 x 500 leaders would mean around P10 million going to the coffers of the PNRC for its humanitarian work.

We are conducting this campaign in line with our creed that advocates: “Service to Humanity is the Best Work of Life.”
