Mendel Lopez and Milo Marathon champ Mary Grace delos Santos ruled the 12k race of the Running (MAD) Make A Difference yesterday.
Lopez finished with a time of 42 minutes and 36 seconds to top the men?s side while De Los Santos finished with a time of 52:42 to rule the women?s division.
The race, organized by Lahug Barangay Captain Mary Ann de los Santos, started and ended at the University of the Philippines (UP) grounds.
Philip Duenas finished second and Sherwin Managil settled for third. De Los Santos was followed by Madelyn Carter and Joeyre Lee.
Meanwhile, the 6k race was won by Joel Delposo, who finished the route in 21:38. Meljun Luterte was just a seconds away from the winner with a 21:41 mark while Jorry Ycong came in closely at third with 21:59.
The winning runner in the 12K run won P3,000, second placer received P1,000 while the third to 10th placers got P300 and medals.
Winners in the 6K race took home P2,000, second P1,000 and third to 10th placers P200 with medals.
