Another ‘signatory’ denies inking DFF’s open letter

/ 12:10 AM October 01, 2016

Like “Commander Nilo dela Cruz” and “Caridad Magpantay” who were tagged “chairman, RPA-ABB” and “Suprema Caring,” respectively, I deny being a signatory to the open letter to President Duterte published in the form of a paid ad (“Democratic Front for Filipinism,” A20, 8/13/16).

I was not a party to that statement and have never been part or a member of this group called DFF; and neither have I attended the alleged meeting in San Fernando, Pampanga.

The inclusion of my name and other esteemed names are malicious and deceiving. I also am aware—and this I have confirmed—that the following were also NOT present and deny  participation in that DFF gathering: retired generals Danilo Lim, Diosdado Valeroso and Alexander Noble; former CPP-NPA rebels like Bernabe “Commander Dante” Buscayno, Rodolfo “Commander Bilog” Salas, Juanito “Commander Agila” de las Alas, Evaristo “Commander Ever” Boquing; former MNLF member Abdulatip “Commander Roldan” Paglala; lawyer Jaime Miralles,

I am also denouncing Conrado Dieza for misrepresenting himself as the Cordillera People’s Liberation Army (CPLA) chair, and Nilo Tayag, purportedly an Aglipayan bishop, for their illegal activities, such as soliciting cash, deceiving fellow Filipinos into shelling out a certain amount of money in exchange for government positions and projects, and claiming they have the ears of President Duterte and all senior government officials.

Aside from Dieza and Tayag, two personalities attended: Mayor Emmanuel Alejandrino of Arayat, Pampanga, and retired colonel Reynaldo Cabauatan, but both did not sign the open letter.

Dieza and Tayag misleadingly announced that Environment Secretary Gina Lopez will provide P300 million to the CPLA and DFF, and that they will be appointed to key positions in the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (e.g., general manager of the Laguna Lake Development Authority), this after

also announcing that they will be named chair and general manager of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.
