Grateful for PDI’s reporting on drug killings

12:02 AM July 26, 2016

I JUST want to say thanks for the Inquirer’s coverage of the ongoing killings and happenings in the “drug war.”

Suspicions against the media are common, and so many appear to have sold out journalistic integrity and quality investigative journalism.

However, I’d like to thank the Inquirer for its news items, features and commentaries which stand out as examples of good investigative journalism—of ethical, neutral reporting. In particular, for tracking all of the killings on the “Kill List,” as horrifying (and accurate) a title as that is, and for the piece “‘Suddenly they were pushers’” (Metro, 7/21/16).

I’m sure the Inquirer must be having its share of negative criticisms and reactions, accusations of bias, etc. So I want to let its editors and staff know that this letter comes from someone working with an NGO in Payatas.
