Epitome of Filipino woman

12:33 AM July 16, 2016

I bow my head, in respect and admiration, to Vice President Leni Robredo. The Vice President embodies the character of the ideal Filipino woman.

We were so amazed at how she raised issues during the campaign in a very civil manner, never engaging in character assassination. Even the way she asked, during a debate, her rival Bongbong Marcos about the money that a US court had ordered to be paid to victims of martial law, she framed the questions professionally, that all Marcos could say was, he didn’t know where the money was.

Yes, I am very proud of Vice President Robredo for championing the cause of marginalized Filipinos, who need guidance, not just doles, to improve their lives. The directions, plans and programs she has unveiled inspire hope. More so because she showed humility when she patiently waited for President Duterte to give her an audience, and sincerity of purpose when she was tasked by him to head the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council.

Vice President Robredo, this early, looks like a true leader with a big heart, ready to fight for truth and justice for all Filipinos. More power and Godspeed!
