Bad Cabinet choices could crush people’s ‘last hope’

/ 12:14 AM May 26, 2016

Before it’s too late, presumptive President-elect Rodrigo Duterte should listen and take seriously the criticisms hurled by media on his handpicked, would-be Cabinet secretaries. While some are good choices, others are not.

Duterte might suffer the same fate as that of outgoing President Aquino whose loyalty to his friends, relatives and closed associates tarnished his image and further eroded his popularity. As a result, President Aquino’s daang matuwid was repudiated in the last presidential election as his presidential candidate, former interior secretary Mar Roxas.

The majority of Filipinos are behind Duterte 100 percent and wish him to succeed in office as president of the Philippines. Duterte is our last hope for major changes in our government today.
