Remembering each other in prayer this Christmas

As we prepare to celebrate Christmas and usher in the New Year 2016, may we remember each other through this prayer:

Dear God:

We believe in the power of prayer. We believe that when it is sincerely said, it will bring godly changes. We pray then for our people and our country.

We pray for discernment and guidance to do Your will as we choose our leaders in 2016.

FEATURED STORIES

We pray that truth and freedom will prevail during the elections.

We pray that after the elections we and our children will be able to look to the future with hope.

We pray that in this election we will realize what a just and righteous society is and vote accordingly.

We pray for the gift of leaders who can unite us as a people.

We pray that our leaders be world-class, of strong faith and character, of wisdom and compassion and sound morality.

We pray that these leaders be aware of their responsibility to the people, to our country and to You as our God.

We pray that You heal our wounded nation and forgive our social sins.

Finally, we pray that You bless our country, the Philippines.

We have faith in You, Lord Jesus, that through the intercession of Mama Mary, my prayer will be granted.

Amen.
