Airport facilities: deliberately not used or out of order?
TWO WEEKS ago my wife and I arrived via 5J-804 at the Centennial Terminal around
5:30 a.m. Our arrival gate was very far from the CIQ (transfer from domestic to international flight) concourse. That long corridor is equipped with three travelators.
None was operating.
We have been using this terminal at least six times a year for the past few years. I cannot recall an occasion when a travelator was working.
In those earlier years, Cebu Pacific was the only airline operating from this terminal. It is now used by other international airlines. Thus, there would probably be more foreigners using this terminal than before.
It creates a bad impression when facilities are there but do not work or are not switched on. This is how we get to be near the bottom of the list of the best airports in the world.
