Duterte earns German national’s respect

01:26 AM May 26, 2015

IN MY opinion, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is confident he can lead this country as president. I like straightforward people.

I am from Germany, so I can’t vote here. But if I were a citizen of the Philippines, I would vote for this man of honor. He is right, the only way to impose law and

order is by fear and the hard way.

You can’t apply Western ideas in the Philippines. This is not Europe or Canada where rapists and murderers can be rehabilitated. Here, we haven’t the time and money or the people for this. Where good boys always step back, bad boys step forward and take everything.

A “final solution” is better. Duterte makes no secret about what he thinks should be done with murderers and rapists. So every criminal knows what will happen if they cross the red line; they have been properly warned, and they have been given a fair chance to think twice before they makes their choice.

Duterte has earned my respect. I would be his German friend in Manila!
