Kudos for articles on martial law

01:36 AM November 08, 2014

On behalf of the US Pinoys for Good Governance, and the Global Filipino Diaspora Council, let me thank the Inquirer for its front-page articles on the darkest chapter of Philippine history—the years of martial law.

For the new generation of Filipinos, it is vital that they know what happened and how much “unspeakable pain and loss” our country(wo)men suffered during that time. The “Noli Me Tangere” words of Dr. Jose Rizal still ring true: “Huwag ninyo kalilimutan ang mga namatay sa dilim ng gabi (Do not forget those who died in the dark shadows of the night).”

Congratulations to the Inquirer for its courage and integrity.
