Healing Mass on TV every day for people of all faiths?

12:28 AM May 19, 2014

A few weeks after my letter (“Reader writes: Healing Mass delivers miracle”) appeared on the Inquirer’s Letters page on March 20, 2014, a Healing Eucharist Mass was held during the ABS-CBN “Umagang Kay Ganda” or “UKG” program on a Monday morning, April 14, 2014. And this gave me a thought: A Healing Eucharistic Mass shown live nationwide, on ordinary days, on an ABS-CBN morning program to give those in their respective residences the chance to participate in it, whatever their faith. Why not? I believe this Healing Eucharist of the Society of the Divine Word fathers is not exclusive to Catholics but is intended for all who are sick and who believe in God and in His gift of eternal life.

As a 33rd degree Mason, I would say, “How good and how pleasant it is for all brethren to dwell together in unity.” And as an Ateneo graduate, I also say, “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His justice, and all these things shall be added unto you” (Luke 12, 13).

Recalling my own March 30 experience, when I saw on the TV screen that the Healing Eucharist Mass was already going on, I went to our living room to tell my wife Trining but she was still soundly asleep. Later, Fr. Joey Faller, SVD, bade all the Mass attendees, including those in their respective residences, to place their right hand over their ailment.

I tried again to get my wife to participate, but she was still sleeping, so I returned to my seat in time for the Healing Eucharist prayer. I placed again my right palm on my left breast, and the left palm on my knees as Father Faller started the healing prayer. Suffice it to say with candor, my ailments were completely healed. Thank God for the miracles I have received from Him.

Miracles happen not only to Catholics but to anyone regardless of faith. It can happen to you for as long as you love others much more than you love yourself, since God Almighty is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient.
