Unreasonable water service reconnection fee


We are in support of the MWSS Development Program, especially here in Cavite City. We also appreciate the superb service it is giving our community.

However, we find the MWSS/Maynilad’s service reconnection fee of P512 ++ too much and very disappointing, even unreasonable.

How can a simple Filipino family, which owes P225 or lower, pay P512 ++ for reconnection? The MWSS/Maynilad management should also take into account that a customer may not be able to pay due to financial constraints.

This is my second time to be disconnected and the story is the same as in the first disconnection: I paid some amount but left a balance of around P200, and so after a few days my water service was again disconnected.

You can check with Meralco, its reconnection fee is less than P50.
