Koko right in leaving UNA’s kitchen

/ 08:36 PM July 02, 2012

This is a reaction to Harvey S. Keh’s letter titled “Principled stand of Sen. Pimentel to benefit nation” (Inquirer 6/21/12).

Our new breed of politicians (Sen. Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel is one)  should learn by now the necessity to define what is “new politics”—the kind of politics that should replace the “trapo” (traditional politicians), the old rags, in our society. It’s time we threw away those overused rags that, instead of making our kitchen clean, create bad odor and accumulate germs that are harmful to our people.

It appears that the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) is the one that “flew over Koko’s nest.” Koko should cut the umbilical cord and maintain that he is no longer under Nene’s nanny care. He is a bar topnotcher, performed well during the Corona impeachment trial and has authored good bills. Koko was right in leaving UNA’s dirty kitchen. Baka maulingan pa siya ng maiitim na budhi. (He might get smeared by those with a dark conscience.)
