Inhumanity toward animals

/ 05:06 AM December 15, 2017

It was sickening seeing two photographs in the Metro section of your paper last Dec. 13 that showed man’s inhumanity toward animals.

The first was that of several dogs which lay dead after being transported in the heat in an unventilated van (“Animal welfare group eyes raps over dogs’ deaths”). The other was of a pig being lifted by its front legs by a man who seemed to enjoy inflicting pain on the wretched animal, in contrast to his companion carrying another pig properly by holding it under its belly and hind quarters (“Illegal pigpens polluting Pasig River demolished”).

Such things make one wish for reincarnation so that every cruel human being dies and returns to life in the form of an animal and experiences the hellish treatment he once inflicted on these creatures.
