Behind a frozen steering wheel

As usual, I got stuck in traffic again and so here’s what I wrote on my iPhone while trying to be “productive” behind a frozen steering wheel, surrounded by fuming fellow motorists:

Where in the Philippines does one week mean four days only when people everywhere are bestowed with an equal number of hours in a day and days in a week? Answer: In Metro Manila because of traffic woes.

How far has the government realized the gravity of the traffic situation in Metro Manila? Answer: As far as the situation persists and continues to worsen.

Why can’t our officials act to solve the obvious in the traffic problem, beyond simply blaming the rising number of vehicles and lack of infrastructure? Answer: Who knows but the corrupt, lazy and incompetent?
